The Jensen Connection
December 2007
December was a full month at the Jensen household. It seemed like we had a party to go to every time we turned around.
Dave wanted to get a Christmas caroling party organized this year, but we never found the time. He used to go to one every year when he was a kid in Seattle. Several families would get together every year, and it was always a good time. Last year we tried to get a group going together as a tradition, but this year we simply didn’t have time for it.
We did get an opportunity to go to Georgia for the week of Christmas. It was fun being around family. We rented a cabin and spent most of our time there. We would play games, watch movies, or even sing. Good times. Rachel even got time to do a puzzle (something Dave isn’t too fond of doing).
The cabin was great. It had a great room and a kitchen on the bottom floor and bedrooms/bathrooms on the top floor. It sleeps something like 23 people. The moment Dave got there his mind started turning to try to find out what he could do to get one of his own so that we could have more family reunions. Its not in the cards anytime soon, but definitely worth looking into for the future.
Natalie had her birthday. We arrived in GA the morning of her birthday. Grandma Jett had promised her breakfast in bed, so when we got there she made out a bed in the downstairs couch and served her some breakfast. Natalie sure loves playing with her grandma. One of the neatest presents she got was a little MP3 player. We had put a bunch of Disney princess songs, and movie soundtracks on it. She sure seems to enjoy it. It did take some patients on everyone else’s behalf putting up with her singing along.. As little girls tend to do, she simply sang along to the same song over and over again. It did get old after a while.
Cooper is doing well. He is getting so big. It is sure interesting how he eats. He doesn’t seem to be into the breads and cereals like his sister is. He likes rice and beans type of foods. He is happy as a clam chomping down on some raw broccoli too. Who kid is this anyway?
