The Jensen Connection
April 2005
General Conference- what a great way to start off the beginning
of April! We enjoyed both sessions on Saturday here at home, then
got to attend the Sunday morning session at the conference center,
and the last session again here at home. I baked a Ham for Sunday
dinner. It was fun to have our Family over again- 2 weeks in a row!
? During Saturday night’s priesthood session Natalie &
I went to a baby shower with Allyson & Ethan Hanna for a teacher
we both used to work with- Amy Warren. She is soon having her first
baby- a girl!
Rachel got to attend another fun MK event- the debut of the 2nd
National Sales Director from Utah. Her name is Tammy Crayk, and
her debut was on April 8th and 9th. The house was absolutely PACKED
with National Sales Directors and top directors from all across
the country. I got my picture taken with 2 of them- it was awesome!
Rachel got the taxes done even a little bit EARLY this year! (I
know, I know, usually the word “early” and my name don’t
go in the same sentence, but there’s a first time for everything…)
It was definitely worth it to use the CPA. He saved us more than
we were expecting, and it was SO much easier.
On Saturday the 16th, we got to go to Scott Wright’s birthday
party @ the “Boon Docks.” There was miniature golf,
racecars, and many more rides & games to choose from. His birthday
is the same day as Mom Jett’s, April 14th, but the party was
held that weekend.
Natalie started her first swimming lessons this month- April 18th!
They are held 3 times a week, MWF. She was way excited at first,
but now that she’s been a few times she gets a little scared.
She doesn’t want to put her face under the water, so she doesn’t
like jumping in from the edge of the pool into her teacher’s
arms. We are not worried at all- she is doing great considering
it is her very first lessons, and we know that she will get the
hang of it!
Natalie & Rachel visited the Wheeler Historic farm for Playgroup
this month on the 19th . It is always fun to see the new baby farm
animals. The “baby” pigs were already huge- even with
being just a couple months old!
Dave performed some magic tricks at the Ward Talent show on April
22nd. He was AMAZING and SO funny! The “second” best
talent of the night was the Young Women, who danced to the song
from “Napoleon Dynamite.” It was HILARIOUS!
Scott & Sarah Jane bought their first house! We got to go help
them paint on Saturday the 23rd. That house is going to look SO
great after everything is finished- the family room is red and beige,
and the walls in the kitchen will be white and 2 tones of green.
Along with painting the whole house, they are also putting in new
carpet everywhere. Jackson is going to love his new room when he
comes this July! Now all he needs is furniture inside it! ;o)
Dave helped put on a Cub Scout Rain Gutter Regatta for Pack Meeting
this month. This was the first pack meeting where Rachel did not
attend- the new Wolf leader has taken over. It is weird not having
scouts every week after being released as a Den leader after 2 ½
years! I will miss those scouts, but at least I still get to see
them each Sunday for primary Singing time!
Happy Spring to you all~ Rachel, Dave, & Natalie Jensen
