The Jensen Connection
October 2004
What a fun time of year! We have been getting excited for Halloween
and fall decorations. Grandma Jett made Natalie a REALLY cute “Fairy
Princess” Costume! It is lilac color, and has wings. Allyson
& Eric Hanna bought us a crown, bracelet, and wand for her to
use while they were in Las Vegas! The entire costume is SO beautiful
on her! We will put pictures on the website by the end of the month.
Dave is sure a great Cub master! He has led 2 pack meetings so
far, and the boys just love him! At the first one he and his brother
Todd juggled fire (it was a “Scouting the Midway” theme).
Then the one in September was “Time in a Capsule;” every
boy/family got to make their own time capsule to open in 10 years!
Dave loves to use “cheers” and the classic “scout”
songs that he remembers from his youth. ;o) We just finished another
one of his mass mailings- he does about 8 each year to invite guests
to his financial seminars. He sure enjoys doing them.
Recently Dave put up pictures on the website of himself before
we were married- from childhood to the mission. It is SO fun! We
are going to scan some of mine next, and get those up there, too!
Here is the link again for anyone who wants to check it out: www.rachndave.com
I have been helping Natalie learn to use the potty! She has been
doing great! She has her own little potty, and wears “big
girl panties” all day long while we are at home! I still put
the pull-ups on her while we are out and about, and diapers at night,
but we will get there!
Dave won tickets to the BYU game in September. He won the office
tickets because of production. I never knew about that huge tent
to the east of the stadium where all of the “legacy club/cougar
club” ticket holders get to go! We had table after table of
buffet foods to select from, and in the middle were cookies and
fresh fruits to dip into CHOCOLATE FOUNTAINS- both milk chocolate
and white! WOW we felt spoiled! We got to see John playing at halftime,
too! (Oh yeah, and it was fun watching the football game, too…
;o)
I went to my first “Stampin’ Up” Party. It was
a BLAST! I have been to other scrapbooking events & classes,
and I have yet to find a scrapbook brand that I DON’T like!
I like Creative Memories, Close to My Heart, and the Stampin’
Up the best. It is so nice when I can trade product for product,
too!
Dave and I also went on a date to the Utah Symphony during September
with Allyson & Eric. We got to eat at the Garden Room restaurant
at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building before the concert.
Mmmmmm it was good! The performance was perfect and very relaxing!
We got to do 2 family names at the temple last month on our Ward
Temple night. It was 2 ancestors from Dave’s mom’s side.
We are lucky, because our ward has started to have a nursery on
temple night! It makes it really easy to go! Natalie loves to play
with her friends from nursery.
Can’t wait to see those 2 wedding invitations in the mail
from John & Melissa!
Talk to you again soon! Love ya!
