The Jensen Connection
November 2004
We had a great month of November. Natalie has been doing GREAT with her potty
training! Hardly
any accidents anymore. She
even wears the “big girl panties” out to the store now, too. I am so proud of her! We are thinking about putting Natalie in a big
bed for her birthday this year; right now she is still in her crib. She STILL has not learned how to crawl out of
that thing! I guess we should
count our blessings and just let her stay there as long as we can,
but I am excited to have a cute “little girl” bed in there, too.
She will be 3 on Christmas Eve.
Nat and I went on a playgroup field trip this month to Macey’s grocery store. It
was pretty fun to get a tour around the store- she even got her
picture taken & developed at the Photo counter!
We celebrated Dave’s birthday this
month on the 16th. He got a new tie to wear to the wedding, a portrait
of Natalie, and the new X-Box game “Halo 2.” He is now 28.
Dave & I also got to go on a group date for his work
on the 19th called “Big 8.” We
went to Benihana’s- WOW it was yummy! Grandma & Grandpa Jensen let Natalie spend
the night at their house that night along with her cousin Addison
for Addie’s birthday. The
2 cousins had a BLAST!
It was fun to attend our cousin Melissa
Hubbard’s wedding on Saturday the 20th.
She got married in the Bountiful
temple, then had a reception that night up in Pleasant View. She was absolutely radiant, and the reception
was decorated so beautifully in fall décor
The best part of the month was our
Thanksgiving trip to Seattle for John & Elisa
Castillo’s wedding! The wedding
was Friday the 26th. We drove up to Washington with Scott, Sarah Jane, & Stephen-
in Scott’s folks’ RV. It
was a long but fun ride. We
left Salt Lake
on Tuesday and stayed through Saturday.
Since we arrived in Washington
early on Wednesday, we took some time to go to the Leavenworth German
town and bought some fun Christmas decorations.
Since Sarah is pregnant & often has cravings, we also
go to eat at a Belgian waffle place for a little mid-morning snack-
waffles, strawberries & whipped cream- MMMMMMM!
(Dave says that I am pregnant without the actual baby- since
I enjoy food so much; HA, HA, HA!) On Wednesday we got to visit Dave’s brother
Greg’s family and meet their new daughter Sadie! Natalie loved playing with her 2 Seattle cousins. We also celebrated Greg’s birthday a little
early- his birthday was the same day as the wedding. Then on Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving
with the Castillo family in the Puyallup
stake center. That night
we also helped decorate the gym for the reception the next day! Friday morning I woke up early to help Elisa
with her make-up, and then we went to the Seattle
temple for the sealing. We
had a yummy wedding luncheon at an Italian buffet restaurant, relaxed
a little bit, then headed over to the stake center again for the
reception. Saturday we enjoyed site-seeing at Pike Place
Market, where Dave bought me some fresh flowers like he did last
time we were there. Dave
also bought a picture for his office.
It was sure fun to see Granddad & Grandma Jett, Uncle
Dan, Uncle Ben, & Aunt Christy who are all from Georgia. We will get to see them again this Christmas!
I am getting excited for my holiday
Mary Kay open houses. Lots of stuff to still do,
but it will be a lot of fun to see my customers and celebrate another
great MK year.
Speaking of Dave’s office- since he
has made “Leaders” this year, he has earned his own office!
He will get to move in at the end of the year!
We are way excited about that.
Of course, Christmas will be very easy since he will need
office furniture to fill it! We
will probably just go shopping together. J
Lots of love & till next month~ Rachel, Dave, & Natalie Jensen
