The Jensen Connection
February 2002
Howdy!
Things are well with the Jensens. Things are sure getting busy
around here with the Olympics & all. It seems that everyone
who rides Trax (SLC’s public transit train) is wearing one
of the SLC Olympic coats that they give to employees. Dave feels
like the odd one out because he doesn’t have one. At the U
all of our parking has slowly dwindled to nothing (not that we had
enough in the first place). There seems to be a guy packing a 9mm
everywhere you turn at the U. It makes you think twice about skipping
classes J. There has also been several occasions where Black Hawk
helicopters fly real close to the ground in pairs. Again, really
intimidating ( I wouldn’t be caught dead skipping classes
this year).
Rachel is doing well. She has to go back to school for one week
until her class goes off track. After that it will be another 3
weeks off. So far she has been back one day and all is going pretty
well. Natalie doesn’t seem to mind me being around her all
day. I’m sure she would prefer mother, but I ain’t so
bad! She still doesn’t react to anything I do. Either she
doesn’t know I’m funny yet, or just plain doesn’t
think so.
Rachel is having a Mary Kay open house this weekend on Friday and
Saturday night. Anyone who lives close enough or who is in the area
is welcome to come! There will be samples of all of the new lip
shades, fun Valentine’s ideas, as well as some fun drawings,
(and treats, of course.)
We went to a baptism, confirmation, and a baby blessing all in
one day. Dave’s brother Paul had a son (Brandon) get baptized
& a daughter (Addison) get blessed. It was fun to be able to
participate in such an important event.
If anyone would like to come to Natalie’s blessing, it will
be March 3rd at 12:00 noon. What time will Amy’s be? We are
hoping to be able to go to both blessings- maybe we could leave
right after sacrament meeting and head up to Ogden. Let us know.
Well, not much else is new. We did send out a yearly newsletter
and announcement- check for it in the mail this week!
Hope to see everyone soon.
Dave, Rach, & Natalie
P.S.- There have been lots of updates on our family website. Check
it out at http://www.geocities.com/rachndave, especially for the
pictures relating to our family.
